New Photo Shoot With Jenna & Eddy Photographers

Laurie and I got together with our good friends at Jenna & Eddy Photographers to help expand their portfolio.  Apparently NYC gets cold during the winter and not a lot of people are game for exterior shoots.  Whatever.  The snowy city is beautiful in winter and so is Laurie.  Modesty and my scraggly Tempest-theater-beard prohibits me from including myself in that previous sentence.

The Field: Young Actors in 2013 is on Sale now!

Last year, I was privileged and thrilled to be selected to be featured by the wonderfully talented Zack DeZon in his book The Field: Young Actors in 2013.

It not only includes myself, but some very dear friends: Nika Ezell Papas (Bad Jews); Isaac Woofter (War Horse); Jessica DiGiovanni (Sleepwalkers)... as well as some familiar faces including Patrick J. Adams (Suits); Troian Bellisario (Pretty Little Liars); Brett Dalton (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.); and Chris Lowell (Veronica Mars, amongst others, but let's be real V-Mars is awesome!)

You can order the book, as well more of his work at THE FIELD's website.  The First Edition is currently on sale for 20% off!

All Good News, Charlie Brown

This last weekend I had the opportunity to join some friends and play Schroeder for A Charlie Brown Christmas Live! (now in it's Sixth Year) out at the Brooklyn Lyceum in Park Slope.  Today, I saw this article floating around Facebook, courtesy of Mollie Vogt-Welch, actor-director-all-around-wonderful-person.

[My Favorite Park Slope...] Christmas Activity

The show continues on through the weekend and you can purchase tickets here.  And get them in advance, because the joint SELLS OUT.  Like, we're adding seats and getting people cuddly-cozy to see this thing.

Now you may be saying to yourself, do I really want to go out to Brooklyn AND pay $10 to get in?  The answer is yes, not only because you're going to have a blast like the writer of the article above, but you're also donating to charity. This year it's the Children's AIDS Fund.  So, you're not only adding to your own Christmas experience, but making it a little better for someone else at the same time.

You may also be saying to yourself, you're not going to be there?  No, I'll be in California building Sand Castles for Christmas instead of Snow Men, but it's cool because the cast is a always-rotating group of working actors that you may recognize from just being around town.

I had a great experience, and hope to join them again next year.  But in the mean time, do yourself a favor and make time to go check out this very special show.

Sleepwalkers Official Trailer

I saw this for the first time last night, before it went live and I am sooooo excited to finally be able to share this with you!  This is courtesy of Writer/Director Jason Merrin and the Sleepwalkers - Official Movie Channel YouTube page.

Like I wrote above, I saw it for the first time last night and I'm so chuffed at how it looks already (even though you can still help make it look better by contributing to the Kickstarter fund).  Jeff Ronan and Jessica DiGiovanni (Who also, coincidentally, appears with me in the upcoming book The Field: A Portrait of Young Actors in 2013) are totally killing it. I watched it twice in a row, and all I could think was, "I want to see this movie! This is a movie I want to see."

I think we all want you to as well!

Isn't that cool!?

On a moderately-related note, moderately-related because it features other awesome people that I get to run into, I am proud to say that I heard while I was out today that both  Cal State Fullerton and Columbia are respected brands in the land of the theater.  I was talking to a stage manager from the Texas Shakespeare festival this afternoon, and he totally went out of his way to make mention of it, and all I could say was, "Yeah!  They are some really wonderful people, aren't they?", and I'm totally privileged to say that I've been in their company.  It's just a very nice thing to unexpectedly hear!

Thanks for stopping by to check out the trailer!  I'll post more Sleepwalkers news as it happens!
